GAS Bottle Thefts

Please be Aware there is currently a spate of gas bottle thefts in the Skegness and Ingoldmells area.

The Police are aware  of the situation.

We are strongly advising to make sure your gas bottles are chained together with a good quality chain and lock.

The chain needs to be 16mm hardened steel like the motorcycle chains and the padlock to have a closed shackle.

This makes it hard for bolt croppers to cut them off.

The thieves are looking for the easy targets we believe they are freeing the bottles in the day and collecting them at night

We advise that you do not put 2 full cylinders on your caravan but wait until the bottle is nearly empty before replacing

If you see any person on site who is not a member of staff interfering with gas bottles please inform the office.
